*There are no records to support the names of Patrick's parents, however based on the Irish traditional
naming patterns used for their children, the child's paternal grandfather's name would be given to the
first male child which was Bernard, and the child's paternal grandmother's name would be given to the
second female child which was Elizabeth. Let me emphasize that these were "traditional naming patterns"
which were NOT followed by all families.
Many of the records which were obtained for this family used the surname spelling of "Corkran". For this
and all other Corcoran family records I have used the spelling of "Corcoran" to allow my sorting routines
to list the entire family together sorted on the parent's names. |
